Neurotic

·         Chronic or recurrent non-psychotic disorder characterized mainly by anxiety

·         Has a sense of reality

Symptoms

·         Phobia

·         Sexual dsfunction

·         Recognized by the individual as unaceptable and alien

·         Does not actively ciolate gross social norms (but disabling )

·         Enduring or recurrent if not treated

·         Not limited to a transitory reaction to stressors
